Even when we cannot meet face-to-face, we adapt by using technology to continue hosting
our All For Blue seminars online!
Last Wednesday, on February 28 2024, nine secondary schools from our district took part in
our environmental awareness seminar. A total of 750 students, along with their teachers,
eagerly attended the session.Six schools from Rhodes were connected, as they have been
involved in the TUI Junior Academy program by All For Blue, which runs in Rhodes island
since September 2023.
During the seminar, students delved into the topic of ocean pollution, particularly its impact
on marine life and humans, with a focus on single-use plastics. They also had the chance to
ask questions about sharks to All For Blue’s founder, Katerina Topouzoglou. Some students
even expressed interest in starting local volunteer groups at their respective schools.
