On Sunday, October 9, our new mission #KeepTinosBlue took place, in collaboration with MoM (Hellenic Society for the Study and Protection of the Monk Seal) framed by an underwater cleanup in Tinos, Greece.

Specifically, certified All For Blue divers as well as All For Blue volunteers collaborated to restore the island’s fishing shelter.

The results of the underwater cleanup, which was carried out with the zero waste protocol that All For Blue faithfully follows, was the removal of 600 kg of waste!

The waste removed was recorded on the PADI Aware database.

Also, we managed to remove an octopus, a starfish, and several sea urchins trapped in plastic items that had been thrown in the bottom of the seabed. We released the animals back to the sea.

Our participation in the #KeepTinosBlue mission contributes to the valuable Life Andros Park program, which aims to expand the conservation actions from the SEZ area of Andros, the bird species of the Natura 2000 network as well as the protection of the Mediterranean monk seal.
