Mission with Royal Caribbean to Rhodes

The first stop of our collaboration with the South Aegean Region and Royal Caribbean Group was Rhodes, where a total of 2,372 primary and secondary school students participated in All For Blue’s educational programs.

Through interactive presentations and hands-on activities, students learned about marine pollution, recycling, the reduction of single-use plastics, and the importance of protecting marine ecosystems.

Special emphasis was placed on activities designed for younger children. Author Katrina Tsantali visited the island and presented her book “A Sea of Plastics”, sharing important environmental messages through an interactive and experiential learning experience.

At the same time, coastal and underwater cleanups were carried out at various locations across the island, resulting in the collection of a total of 847 kilograms of waste. A particularly significant moment of the initiative was the visit to Panormitis Cave, where our team conducted an extensive cleanup of the area, contributing to the protection of this unique natural site.

One of the most alarming findings was the collection of 17,639 cigarette butts during the cleanups, a figure that highlights the ongoing need for environmental awareness and changes in everyday habits that negatively impact the environment.
