Savvas, the first recycled fish in Greece, has already started “eating” plastic in Alimos beach.

It is a construction of the pharmaceutical company Medochemie Hellas that aims to collect plastic for recycling, but also to raise environmental awareness of all citizens and especially children.

The inauguration took place right in front of Cine Alimos, where many children gathered, as well as our volunteers from All For Blue organization and the pharmaceutical company Medochemie.

The certified divers of the organization and athletes of the One Breath Freediving team had previously carried out underwater cleanup in the area in front of the shark.

Stelios Kritikos presented the action, motivated the people in his special way to take part and helped our little friends to “feed” Savvas the Shark!

The aim of the event was to raise public awareness about the protection of the marine ecosystem, as well as to set a good example in view of the start of the tourist season.

The idea of the recycling fish filled the enthusiastic reaction of the small children, who attended the beach cleanup and filled the belly of the hungry shark with plastic bottles!

The action was carried out in collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Medochemie in the context of corporate social responsibility and all employees had attended a training seminar by the scientific team of the organization for the protection of the marine ecosystem.
