300 high school students from Parikia and Naoussa, attended the Ocean Conservation & Shark Awareness seminar and participated in the beach & underwater cleanup in Paros.
The whole action took place for the campaign of Keep Aegean Blue, the largest mission for cleanups and educational seminars ever done in Greece.
The participation and enthusiasm of students and volunteers in the underwater and beach cleanup in Paros (Livadia beach) was impressive since in less than 90 ‘we managed to remove from the beach and from the ocean more than 600 kg (1.300lbs) of trash!
This year, in order to avoid plastic bags in our cleanup actions, we have only reusable sacks and the students were enthused with the whole process.
Keep Aegean Blue mission continues with the same passion.
