Press release – Keep Aegean Blue

The biggest campaign ever organized in Greece for underwater and coastal cleanups, “Keep Aegean Blue”, was presented at the 33rd NATEX Exhibition.
In March and April, All For Blue in collaboration with the Region of South Aegean and with the participation of thousands of volunteers will once again combine ecological action with adventure for the preservation of our seas.

 
The numbers regarding our mission are impressive!

• 53 days at sea
• 1,000 nautical miles
• 15 islands in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese
• 30 Educational seminars in schools
• 5,000 students
• Thousands of volunteers

In October, when the Keep Aegean Blue campaign was launched, we visited 13 islands, we traveled 700 nautical miles, 5,000 students took part in the All For Blue seminars for the protection of the marine ecosystem, and we removed 5.5 tonnes of trash!
In NATEX, the founder of All For Blue, Katerina Topouzoglou, spoke about the actions of the organization for the protection of the seas and the wonderful trip aiming at cleaning the underwater world and beaches in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.

Mykonos: Thursday 18/4

Spearfishing world champion Giannis Sideris and his teammate Tasis Peroulis were present at the presentation. They impressed the audience when they explained that they are actively involved in underwater cleanups and each time they visit the sea!
Together with us was the coach of Proteas Kalymnos, organizer of cleanups and active member of All For Blue’s team Michalis Glinatsis.
