Koufonisia, Schinoussa, Iraklia and Naxos became the stops of a joint initiative with a meaningful and measurable environmental impact
With a powerful message about protecting Greece’s seas and results that can be measured in numbers, the environmental mission carried out by All For Blue in collaboration with Garnier across the Cyclades has successfully come to an end.
Centered around the message “We Protect Our Seas. We Protect Our Summers.”, the mission traveled from Naxos to Koufonisia, Schinoussa, and Iraklia, bringing together the teams of All For Blue and Garnier around a shared purpose: taking meaningful action to protect the marine and coastal environment.
Following the completion of the mission, our team mapped and measured the areas where both coastal and underwater clean-up activities took place.
The results reflect the scale of this collective effort:
Koufonisia
- Ammos Beach: 3,178 sq. m.
- Underwater clean-up (seabed): 2,224 sq. m.
Schinoussa
- Fishing Shelter Beach: 476 sq. m.
Iraklia
- Pier Area: 1,033 sq. m.
- Fishing Shelter: 1,365 sq. m.
Naxos
- Kalandos Beach: 2,142 sq. m.
- Fishing Shelter: 1,776 sq. m.
A Total of 12,194 sq. m. of Coastline and Seabed Cleaned
In total, 12,194 square meters of coastline and seabed were cleaned, highlighting the impact that an organized collective effort can achieve when people and organizations unite around a common environmental goal.
Behind these numbers, however, are the people.
The success of the mission was the result of the meaningful collaboration between everyone involved: the Garnier team, the All For Blue team, the partners who contributed to organizing and implementing the mission, as well as the invited guests who actively participated in the clean-up activities.
The experience extended far beyond the clean-ups themselves. It also created an opportunity to connect with local communities, promote volunteerism, and celebrate the unique identity of each island, reminding us that protecting the environment is inseparable from the people and the places that make it so special.
