A new environmental action by All For Blue was successfully carried out in Mykonos on 7 October 2026, as part of the organisation’s established mission across Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes, now taking place for the third consecutive year.

On an island with a global profile that welcomes thousands of visitors, protecting the fragile marine ecosystem is a top priority. The All For Blue team joined forces with the “guardian angels” of the sea , representatives of the Mykonos Port Authority and Mykonos Port Fund, together with their families.

The action began with an educational presentation delivered by biologists on the protection of the marine ecosystem, focusing on the importance of developing environmental awareness through hands-on experience.

The activity continued with an underwater clean-up conducted not on a beach, but in the heart of the port itself. The diving team included athletes and freedivers from the national team, who entered the water to recover waste accumulated on the seabed.

A wide range of items was removed from the seabed, including:

  • 20 tyres from trucks and other large vehicles
  • Boat batteries
  • Doors
  • Pipes, ropes, plastics, hats, sunglasses and various other objects

Members of the Port Authority, together with their children, took part in recovering, recording and weighing the collected materials, reaching an impressive total of 1,470 kilograms, nearly 1.5 tonnes of waste.

The presence of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship just outside the port, along with the flow of hundreds of passengers, gave the initiative additional international visibility. Visitors had the opportunity to witness the action firsthand and showed their appreciation for the collective effort to protect the marine environment.
