Cleanup at Asimaki beach

On Saturday, October 12, All For Blue, in collaboration with GEP, organized a coastal cleanup at Asimakis Beach in Lavrio. A total of 55 participants, including GEP employees, their family members, the company’s CEO Mr. Lambrinos, and All For Blue volunteers, used the reusable equipment provided by All For Blue and followed a zero-waste protocol. In less than two hours, they managed to collect 105 kgs of litter.

Among the items collected were hundreds of cigarette butts, dozens of plastic bottles and disposable cups, aluminum cans, food packaging, large plastic containers and fragments, several shoes, Styrofoam boxes, pieces of rope, metal pipes, and wooden boards. Some of the most unusual items found included a cooking pot, a fire extinguisher, and an automotive electrical component!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants—GEP employees and volunteers—for their invaluable contribution. Special recognition goes to the working parents who brought their children, helping to educate the younger generation about the importance of collective effort and environmental protection. Their participation not only enriched the children’s experience but also strengthened community awareness about the need to safeguard our planet.
