All For Blue went to Agioi Theodoroi and in collaboration with Hellenic Cables organized an experiential activity for the company’s employees. On Thursday 4th of May the All For Blue team visited the company’s factory facilities to conduct an educational seminar on the protection of the marine ecosystem and an underwater and beach cleanup.

Wearing the necessary protective equipment, our team visited the main area of the factory and informed the company’s employees about the factors that pose a threat to the marine ecosystem. Representatives of the local Port Authority attended the seminar. At the end of the presentation, the attendees discussed about the effects of the use of plastics on the environment and everyone received certificates of attendance.

The educational seminar was followed by a beach and underwater cleanup at Kalamaki beach. Members of the company undertook the cleaning of the coastal area, while the underwater cleanup was carried out by All For Blue’s certified divers. 73kg of marine debris were collected. Among the items collected, a speed boat steering wheel stood out. From the underwater cleanup, among other items, the divers found a large tarpaulin, on which sea urchins were attached, which the divers released back into their natural environment.

We would like to thank Hellenic Cables for their hospitality, the Port authority for their presence throughout the action, the Municipality of Loutraki for their cooperation as well as our volunteers for supporting our project.
