From October 21st to 23rd, All For Blue carried out an environmental mission in Volos, aiming to inform, raise awareness, and inspire action among students for the protection of our seas. From the very first moment, our team felt the city’s warm and heartfelt welcome.

During the mission, more than 1,000 students enthusiastically participated in All For Blue’s educational seminars, gaining valuable knowledge about the marine ecosystem, pollution, and their role as active citizens.

The following schools took part in the educational seminars:

4th, 5th, and 11th Primary Schools of Nea Ionia, 22nd, 8th, 6th, 15th, and 11th Primary Schools of Volos, as well as the 1st Primary School of Agria.

After the seminars, students, teachers, and volunteers headed to Anavros Beach and Soutrali Beach, where coastal and underwater cleanups took place with the support of certified divers.

In total, students, educators, and divers removed 380 kilograms of waste from the coastline and seabed, along with 2,035 cigarette butts, actively contributing to the protection of the marine environment. Among the items collected were plastic bottles, tires, fishing gear, masks, glasses, flower pots, brooms, road barriers, cages, and various other objects that caught the students’ attention—highlighting the urgent need for action and a shift in mindset.

The cleanup was conducted using All For Blue’s reusable gloves and bags, following the zero waste protocol, while the underwater cleanup was carried out by certified volunteer divers from Zoumbosub Diving Team, led by Christos Zoumbos.

We would like to warmly thank Christina Marasidi, Deputy Mayor of Education of the Municipality of Volos, Antonis Antoniou, Head of School Activities for Primary Education of Magnesia, Stavroula Meli, Principal of the 4th Primary School of Nea Ionia, as well as the Hellenic Coast Guard, Civil Protection, and the Cleaning Department of the Municipality of Volos for their support.

A special thank you goes to the Zoumbosub Diving Team for their invaluable contribution.

This initiative was carried out with the support of Garnier.

Volos filled us with inspiration and optimism — together with the new generation, we can truly make a difference. Step by step, young and old, we can all take action for the blue.
