Action report Mykonos

Today, September 24, 2025, All For Blue visited the island of the winds – Mykonos.

We began our day with educational seminars at the private school “Sygchroni Paideia”, where 185 primary school students participated. The students learned about marine biodiversity, the dangers of plastic pollution, and practical ways in which they themselves can contribute to protecting the sea.

Later, together with 50 sixth-grade students, we went to Kalafatis Beach, where we collected a total of 55 kilos of waste from the sea and the shore. Among the items found were a car tire, inflatable mattresses, clothes and fabrics. The children were also surprised to discover a cigar, fishing gear, and many aluminum soda cans. Most striking of all, however, was the collection of approximately 550 cigarette butts, which sparked an important discussion about everyday habits and their impact on the environment.

The cleanup was carried out using All For Blue’s reusable gloves and bags, while the beach was cleaned according to the zero-waste protocol.

The underwater cleanup was conducted by certified divers from the All For Blue team.

We would like to thank the Hellenic Coast Guard for honoring us with their presence, the private school “Sygchroni Paideia” for their hospitality, and for the excellent cooperation with the students and teachers.

This action was carried out with the support of Royal Caribbean.
