Cleanup at Alimos

After a busy summer, we’re ready to get back into action to protect the seas and our planet. The All For Blue team kicked off the new season with a beach cleanup at B’Alipedo Alimos beach.

On Friday, September 6, with the help of volunteers from our team and the support of Tiger Like, we collected 28 kg of waste from Alimos. Our enthusiastic volunteers gathered disposable plastics, aluminum cans, and cigarette butts from the beach.

Amid the debris, the team discovered several pieces of plastic confetti scattered across the sand and bushes. Though these items may add fun to celebrations, they pose a serious environmental risk. Made from non-biodegradable materials, plastic confetti can easily spread outdoors and is incredibly challenging to clean up, contributing to pollution and threatening marine life. Our volunteers realized through this action, that it’s essential to avoid using these items and choose eco-friendly alternatives for celebrating special moments.

We’d like to extend our gratitude to Tiger Like for supporting this initiative. A special thanks as well to the Municipality of Alimos for collecting the waste, and to all our volunteers for their dedication to our cause.
